The Legend of Guaraná is an editorial project developed from the perspective of valuing the Sateré-Mawé people, their beliefs, customs and, mainly, their relationship with the land. It seeks to create connections between the semantic, visual and physical aspects of an illustrated book, with the meaning that the legend has and promoting dialogues between non-natives and indigenous culture.

From original text by indigenous author Yaguarê Yamã, the project features more than 25 original illustrations that use digital and traditional drawing techniques and explore different languages, colors and shapes to construct the narrative. At the end, the book provides an illustrated glossary of the Sateré language and the Amazon Regional Language.
